Nigeria is located in continent Africa and it is a prominent African country. This country is located on the western side of Africa and it shares its borders with Chad, Atlantic Ocean, Cameron and Benin. Nigerians are divided into three groups and these groups are Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo. Nigerians are basically the believers of two religions which are Christianity and Islam. In North part of country Muslims are in majority where as Christians live on the south part of the country.
According to Archeologists people start living on this part of the world in 9000 BCE. The name of Nigeria is kept on a river which is called Niger River and it runs within this country. The population of Nigeria is enormous and it is considered to be the most populous country of Africa. Internationally Nigeria comes on seventh number if countries are ranked according to their population. In 2006 the population of Nigeria was 140,003,542 which is a great number for any under developed country.
Now the population of Nigeria is 170,123,740 due to which population density of this country is 184 per kilometer square. Nigeria is now a developing country and biggest economies have included its name “Next Eleven” which is a list of emerging countries.
In this list only those countries are included who have a potential to excel in future and have developing economy. These countries are currently not in a good position but it is expected that their economies will grow sound as the time will pass by. Every year people come to Nigeria in large amount because almost all airline companies offer Flight to Nigeria.
Nigeria has faced some hard times in the past which have left a great impression on its economy. During seventeenth and eighteenth century Nigeria has remained the center of attention of western world. People of Europe use to come here so that they can capture and send slaves from these countries People of Nigeria are black and they are very strong people. Europeans use to take these people away with them so that they can earn money by selling these people to other Europeans.
People of that time had earned great profit by selling African people all over the world. That’s why the ratio of African people in European countries is more than the ratio of any other color. In 1800 the people of Britain started a movement in which the condemn slave trade. This movement gained so popularity that the govt. of Britain has to take action on it. After that they did not only stopped doing slave trade by themselves but they also started to halt this slave traffic.
In this act United States of America was with them and together they fought this anti slavery war. In 1936 they put a full stop on the slavery trade and shortly after that Nigeria announced its independence. Cheap Flight to Accra enables tourists to visit these places because mostly people like to visit those places which cost them less.
